The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading across rapidly and has disrupted every sphere of life.
While the dire situation in urban areas was reported widely, the rural and tribal areas of India were witnessing a tragedy that received little attention.
To extend help to deprived sections of the society, who could not take care of the affected at home, Bosconet, with the chairperson of USV, Leena Gandhi Tewari, and Don Bosco Development Society, launched CARE (Covid19 Action and Relief Efforts).
Under the project, it distributed Covid-19 Home Isolation Care Kits and Dry Ration Kits to 182 families from marginalized communities in Walvanda, Maharashtra. Along with the kits, the beneficiaries were given basic instructions on how to use the kits.
