Don Bosco Network supported the child-friendly initiatives of its partner Don Bosco Chandigarh by providing various types of protective gear for the use of children, social workers and hospital staff on 18-19 August.
Hundreds of children were benefitted: 360 children in 12 remedial education centres, 400 children members of Child Parliaments, 40 students and 28 staff members of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) centre, 15 special children of Don Bosco Sawera day care centre. In these locations, thermometers, normal and N95 masks, sanitisers, hand gloves, automatic sanitiser dispensers, sanitary napkins, vitamin tonics and PPE kits were distributed.
The local Government Multi-Specialty Hospital was supported with N95 and normal masks, sanitisers, and PPE kits.
Don Bosco Network thanks its partner Jugend Eine Welt for its valuable support towards safeguarding children in Chandigarh during the pandemic.
