The Northeastern region of India does not receive adequate media attention. Remote as the region is from mainland India, the second wave arrived later than in the rest of India, making people more exposed to the virus.

Amidst the pandemic, millions of people have lost their livelihood and hence their only source of food. To provide solidarity to the people of Dimapur, AIDA, the Planning and Development Office of IND, distributed groceries to 170 neediest families in 5 villages of Dimapur District.
