Since the lockdown got imposed last year, the Don Bosco Network and its partners have been actively involved in providing solidarity to the people affected by COVID. Focusing on the upliftment of the needy and vulnerable children, economically backward women, unemployed and unskilled youth, its partners have reached out to 7,20,000 people since March 2020.
Collaborating with organizations like Zomato India, Nestle India, Accenture, and with the support of Bosconet, has distributed cooked food at Bandalaguda Jagir, Telangana to 700 persons affected by COVID.
It has also served food to 5000 migrants who have lost their job since May 2021 and is envisaging to distribute 6000 food kits and 5000 medical kits to the rural daily wage workers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha in the following months.
