November 15th 2021 – Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
Bosconet, with the support of GIC (General Insurance Corporation of India) will purchase an Ambulance for the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The ambulance will be used to meet the medical needs of children residing in Don Bosco child-care institutions and 1000 children and youth living in streets and slums of the city of Hyderabad.
The existence of the Ambulance will ensure timely and quality health care to over 200 inmates of Don Bosco Navajeevan by way of transportation to hospitals. It will also serve as a mobile health clinic, supporting around 1000 rescued children with medical help before rehabilitation or home integration. Special cases requiring serious medical or surgical interventions at hospitals can be transported easily and unnecessary delays can be avoided. Post surgery treatment can be made less stressful and easily accessible for many people in the surrounding slums and colonies who lack medical support. Health awareness camps and disease preventive measures can be conducted with ease. The ambulance can raise the health and medical security of the lives of those children and youth leading to more confident and well-rounded adults of tomorrow.
